Cinema Nosso Productions School

The Cinema Nosso Production School works as a junior company and offers students real-life film production experience, in an environment supervised by professionals.

This is an opportunity to apply and improve their technical knowledge acquired during the course through their own film projects, films commissioned by partner institutions or even commercial production, etc.

The Production School operates in three areas: cinema and animation films and Motion Design. Sponsored by ArtAction, the program is the most advanced level of Cinema Nosso Audiovisual School and is in its first year. In the Production School, students who finished the regular courses are invited to have more specific contact with professionals, having access to a more realistic professional experience through the full production of films.

While "Happy Easter", the first film produced by students, follows its final stages, the Prduction School filmed "Awakening" directed by the young student Mariana Campos (21 years). The film is a mix of documentary and fiction and the plot shows the internal conflict of a young man who decides to tell his father that he is gay.

Recordings relied on the support of the illustrious Brazilian filmmaker Fernando Meirelles, and the cast had the presence of the great actor Milton Gonçalves. Fernando has a fundamental importance in our history because the audiovisual school idea started when filming the full-length film "City of God". Milton also caused a big surprise by the time he agreed to act in the film. A great actor who believed in a great project!

The Production School animated film group is preparing a film about Veganism - a life philosophy based on animal rights, eating and consumption habits. The Motion Design group is in charge of finalizing all those films. Participants are coordinated by Rita Nemer, Cinema Nosso teacher and head master of the CTAv’s Animation group, and Stanio Soares, Cinema Nosso teacher and director of the Canal Futura Motion Design. Our students have produced works for 2009 Generation Section / Rio de Janeiro Int’l Film Festival, Metro Rio, Circo Social Network - Cirque Du Soleil, among others. This initiative also has the partnership of SEBRAE on strategies formulating to prospect and on consumers service.
