A different screening space, that inspires and instigates

The Audiovisual School at Cinema Nosso inaugurated a different kind of screening space.  As opposed to having a screening space in which one session simply follows another, the Espaço Cinema Nosso screening space will provide a space in which interesting films will be shown followed by a discussion about them.  We think it is important to reflect on how productions portray reality and how they stimulate us and make us dream.

Open to participation

Our programs are formulated through the participation of the public that proposes and executes various activities in the space.  Artist, film makers, film students and film lovers in general can participate in our free courses and workshops about trends, genres or directors while the schools use the space as a classroom.  Suggestions for activities can be sent to curadoria@cinemanosso.org.br

Support

This initiative relies on the support from Fernando Meirelles, who provided the rights to use the space.  To the Hastings-Bass family from Great Britain and the ABC Trust, created by the ex guitarist from Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page, which made the building of our screening room and three station editing room possible.  The Cinema Nosso Audiovisual School is supported by Programa Desenvolvimento e Cidadania da Petrobras e Eletrobrás.
